Log Purchasing
I am a local saw miller always looking for logs to mill - most often hardwood (not pine or oak), such as Walnut, Cherry, Elm, Spalted, Maple, etc. Logs need to be at least 6’ long in length and a minimum of 20” diameter at the smaller end. The ideal length of logs is 10-12’ and the ideal diameter would be 24-36”.
We typically purchase logs in one of three ways:
- Pay by the trailer load (6-ton - see photo)
- Return 1-2 milled slabs of lumber as payment (typically hardwood)
- Mill some other logs for you (typically soft wood)
If you are interested in getting rid of logs, please fill out the form below.
If you know someone who has a tree company, or cuts trees often, please pass this information along to them!
